Tyrant Tashin Boss Guide for Aion 2
This guide explains how to defeat Tyrant Tashin, covering all major attack patterns, dodge techniques, and phase transitions. While Tashin's patterns appear simple, their high frequency requires consistent control and proper positioning. To meet the gear requirements for this fight without excessive grinding, many players choose to buy Aion 2 items to ensure their character has the necessary stats to survive Tashin's relentless attacks.
Core Defensive Principles
When fighting Tashin, you need to recognize three types of dodges:
Attacks you dodge by jumping
Attacks you dodge with Just P (parry/perfect dodge)
Attacks you dodge by blocking
General blocking rules: Melee players can block most area-of-effect attacks. Ranged players will find this difficult to use effectively.
Action point management: While Just P can dodge many attacks, your action points become very limited in later phases. Whenever possible, dodge by jumping rather than relying on Just P. This preserves action points for critical moments.
Positioning priority: Stay close to Tashin whenever possible to deal damage. Almost all mechanics repeat in predictable cycles, so memorizing them allows consistent dodging.
Phase 1: Initial Patterns (100% to 75% HP)
Starting Position
When the fight begins, stick close to Tashin.
Fan Shape Attack
Tashin emits an attack in a fan shape from his position. Dodge by staying close and moving appropriately.
Semi-Circle Pattern (Low Damage Phase)
When damage output is still low, the semi-circle pattern appears twice in succession. After dodging the initial fan attack and dealing damage while staying close, dodge the semi-circle by circling around—once, then a second time.
Damage-dependent variation: If your damage output is high, Tashin will either descend or ascend into the sky instead of performing the double semi-circle.
Downward Slam (Sky Descent)
When Tashin rises into the sky and takes the motion to slam down, dodge by jumping or using a dash.
Full Ascent Pattern
When Tashin ascends completely into the sky, go outside the danger zone once, then come back inside once. This pattern is easy to dodge once you recognize the tell.
Note: The downward slam and full ascent patterns appear randomly. Watch carefully and react accordingly.
Three-Circle Pattern ("Lalala")
Three circles appear in sequence. You must follow the order they appear. When the circles explode, switch positions in the same sequence. This pattern appears in Transcendence content and follows identical rules.
Zikel Pattern (Pre-75%)
If Tashin's HP has not reached 75% after the circle pattern, the Zikel pattern triggers. Tashin moves outward and then back inward. This pattern is not difficult to dodge.
Phase 2: 75% HP Transition
When Tashin's HP reaches 75%, he moves to the center and jumps.
Color Mechanic
Look above. You will see a red structure and a purple structure. You must move toward the purple side.
Hammer Sequence
A ground effect appears below. Wait for it to end before entering. A hammer always spawns behind you relative to your position.
Positioning requirement: Since you need to dodge toward the boss later, start from the right side of Tashin and move little by little. A total of five hammers are summoned.
Sphere Barrage
After the hammers, Tashin launches spheres in succession. Four or six spheres appear randomly. Use Just P to dodge each one in sequence.
The sphere count is random. You may see four spheres or six spheres in a given attempt.
Post-Sphere Sequence
After dodging the spheres:
Jump once
Jump again when Tashin goes up
Three more spheres appear in succession (one, two, three)
Memorize this sequence exactly.
Hammer Flight
When hammers fly toward you, jump to dodge. You will not be hit even if you jump over the red line. While some players increase movement speed to walk through, using Just P is cleaner and consumes few action points. Recharge once to avoid the attack.
Overlapping Blades Mechanic
Two blades appear. You must make them face each other along the line to eliminate them.
Simultaneous threat: As the blades appear, Tashin moves and performs a straight-line attack. While dodging the blades with dashes, you must also dodge Tashin's straight-line attack with dashes.
Phase 3: Post-75% Modifications
After 75% HP, Tashin adds a double jump slam:
One downward slam
Then two additional downward slams
The downward slam now occurs twice instead of once. Keep moving behind Tashin during this sequence.
Everything else remains the same as Phase 2.
Phase 4: 25% HP Transition and Clone Phase
When Tashin's HP reaches 25%, he moves to the center again.
Color Mechanic (Repeat)
Look above for the purple area. Move toward the purple side.
Hammer Sequence (Repeat)
Remove the hammers exactly as before—three, then four, then five. The pattern is identical.
Sphere Barrage (Repeat)
Use Just P for the spheres. The count is random: four or six.
Critical Circular Pattern
After completing the sphere dodge, a circular pattern appears. This is the most important sequence to memorize.
The exact sequence (always in this order):
Jump twice (dodging two downward slams)
Use Just P twice for the incoming spheres (one, two)
Semi-circle appears — dodge it
Ascension to the Sky appears — go out, then come back in
Zikel appears immediately after (two Zikels in a row — use Just P well)
Another semi-circle appears
Fan shape appears twice
Important positioning note for Zikel: When dodging Just P for Zikel, dodge to the inside rather than the outside whenever possible.
Gear Phase
After the fan shape appears, gears emerge in succession. Break all gears at once in a single burst. This prevents subsequent patterns from becoming too difficult.
Post-Gear Attacks
Enemies fly in and perform straight-line attacks twice in a row.
After this, the attacks inside the circle disappear.
Phase 5: Remaining Patterns (Below 25% HP)
After the circular pattern ends, random patterns continue to appear. Clones appear and repeat the same sequences.
Clone behavior: The clone jumps twice (identical to the double downward slam), then flies away.
The patterns below 25% HP are identical to the patterns above 25% HP. Two low-level attacks repeat. Compared to other bosses, Tashin's post-25% phase is consistent regardless of situation.
Final Recommendations
For players completely unfamiliar with Tashin, spend time moving around to familiarize yourself with the patterns before focusing on damage. Practice jumping and dodging through each attack type.
After the 25% clone phase, unleash a burst of damage. The patterns become repetitive from this point forward. The two-clone double downward slam becomes natural after several attempts.
The sequence after the 25% circular pattern always appears in the same order. Memorize it exactly as written, and the fight becomes significantly more manageable.
